Job Opportunity

The Assessment Applications Unit is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of bespoke applications that are used in the delivery of various assessments.

Role Purpose

This role provides expert analysis, programming, and leadership of software changes to a suite of custom-built applications used in assessments.

  • Proven experience is required in technologies such as VB.NET, ASP.NET (C#), Uniface, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, MS SQL Server, and Oracle database and PL/SQL or tSQL.

Main application development focus areas include the Victorian Student Register (VSR – VB.NET), Assessment Processing System (APS – Uniface, PL/SQL) and Victorian Assessment Software System (VASS – C#.NET).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert analysis and programming for software changes.
  • Lead small to medium IT development projects each year.
  • Manage one to two projects simultaneously.
  • On-call support during critical business processing periods is required.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in use of: Uniface, Oracle database and PL/SQL, VB.NET, ASP.NET (C#), MVC, ASP, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL Server database.
