Project Engineer Job Description

The role of a Project Engineer is to provide engineering support and assistance in project management and engineering duties. This includes ensuring quality control as per drawings and specifications, monitoring procurement of materials, and liaising with client representatives.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspecting works to ensure quality control as per drawings and specifications
  • Monitoring procurement of materials and consumables for portion of project scope
  • Liaising with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling, and coordinating deliveries
  • Reviewing, creating, issuing, and following up on request for information (RFI's) and technical queries (TQ's)
  • Understanding and implementing quality control techniques and adhering to ITP's
  • Preparing work packs and material requisitions, raising non-conformances

About You:

  • You will possess tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
  • You will have a White Card
  • You will have 3 years' experience in a similar position (minimum)
  • You will be proficient in all Microsoft Office Suites
  • You will have superior interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders and key relationship members at all levels
