A successful Senior Project Engineer is required to lead the engineering planning and delivery of large-scale civil construction works. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, with a collaborative and safety-first approach to achieving project outcomes.
">Key Responsibilities:- Lead the planning and delivery of project works, ensuring compliance with contractual, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Develop programs, schedules, and procurement strategies to meet project timelines.
- Monitor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) across cost, schedule, and quality metrics.
- Manage technical clarifications, variations, and contract administration in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and mentoring to engineers, including performance reviews and development planning.
- Oversee project cost control, tracking actuals against budgets, and assist with financial reporting.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) requirements, conduct risk assessments, and promote a strong safety culture.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in civil construction, with excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction, with 10–15 years preferred.
- Proven ability in project financials, cost control, and subcontractor management.
- Familiarity with WHS, quality, and environmental management systems.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a commitment to team development.
- Advanced planning, scheduling, and resource coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
