About the Role:

Mansell Taylor Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team based in Melbourne. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will have the opportunity to review, adapt, and implement the Company's health and safety program to ensure worker safety and adherence to government laws, regulations, and company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily compliance with health and safety and environmental regulations, including those set by Worksafe Vic, EPA Vic, and the NHVR.
  • Conduct EHS compliance audits as appropriate.
  • Follow up to ensure the floor team has corrected any workplace corrective actions.
  • Educate and oversee employees on health and safety procedures and regulations as required.
  • Track the number of incidents and environmental information and update data for reporting needs.
  • Monitor key risks on a daily basis, e.g., Haz subs, Plant risk, Traffic management, etc.
  • Investigate any accidents to determine the root cause, provide recommendations to eliminate future hazards or risks, and ensure management follows through on recommendations.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of four years' experience in a manufacturing, construction, transport, or similar heavy industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail to identify hazards.
  • A deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to produce reports and develop relevant procedures.
  • Senior knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
  • Construction Industry White card required.
  • This position may require travel.
  • This role requires a successful medical and psychometric testing.
