Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team at Anton Murray Consulting in Melbourne or Sydney. As a key member of our risk and compliance project team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of risk and regulatory remediation programs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and evaluating existing operational processes to deploy risk controls and mitigants. You will engage with diverse groups of stakeholders, including the Executive Team, Senior Leadership Team, Delivery Teams, and other internal stakeholders, to understand business needs, current state, and advise on what Future State should look like.

You will gather and process data to identify process performance areas, conduct gap analysis, and present summary of findings. Additionally, you will conduct in-depth data analysis, process mapping, and workflow documentation to identify opportunities for standardisation and optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and evaluate existing operational processes to deploy risk controls and mitigants.
  • Engage and liaise professionally and collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders to understand business needs and advise on Future State.
  • Gather and process data to identify process performance areas.
  • Conduct gap analysis and present summary of findings.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis, process mapping, and workflow documentation to identify opportunities for standardisation and optimisation.
  • Design workflow and process strategies to improve business performance.
  • Create and present process reports for approval.
  • Oversee the implementation of revised company processes and workflows.
  • Monitor the efficiency of updated workflows.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5-7 years of experience in risk management within Australia's financial services / APRA-regulated entities, including business partnering roles.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Finance, Risk, or related field.
  • Proven experience in process improvement.
  • Strong experience working on regulatory compliance-driven environments and projects.
  • Experience working on compliance-focused projects is highly advantageous.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to think strategically to identify and mitigate risks to processes as well as opportunities.
  • Excellent analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills.

Salary Estimate

The estimated salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location

This role can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney.
