Defence Industry Professional - Mechanical Fitter

UGL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Operations & Maintenance team at Pearce RAAF Base, Perth WA.

The role involves performing scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment, diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment, project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment, and support for various sites in the region with occasional requirement to travel to various sites throughout WA.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
  • Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
  • Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
  • Support subcontracted work packages as required
  • Support various sites in the region with occasional requirement to travel to various sites throughout WA

What You Need:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience
  • Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
  • Experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry will be highly regarded
  • Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything you do
  • Current Defence Security Clearance or ability to obtain appropriate clearance
