Job Title: Senior Cyber Security Specialist

As a key member of our Energy Markets Cyber Coordination team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and execution of programs to enhance cyber security maturity across Australia's energy sector.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the co-design of the future of our energy systems, working closely with government and industry stakeholders to drive initiatives that support the transition to a net zero economy.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of security control and maturity frameworks relevant to the energy sector, as well as experience in coordinating with Commonwealth and State government authorities and energy market participants on effective response to cyber security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver complex outcomes in support of the Energy Markets Cyber Coordination team's responsibilities relating to cyber maturity uplift.
  • Maintain contacts and engage with stakeholders across government, industry, and academia.
  • Identify and review AEMO cyber security standards applying to market participants.
  • Support review and refinement of sector-specific cyber maturity frameworks and reporting on security preparedness of the sector.
  • Assist in the development of supporting materials and presentations.
  • Coordinate internal and contracted resources to deliver objectives.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in the energy sector supporting critical infrastructure, resilience, and cyber security initiatives.
  • Effective analysis and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of security control and maturity frameworks relevant to the energy sector.
  • Contemporary knowledge of cyber adversary techniques and tradecraft.
  • Procurement, program, and project management skills.
