About the Role- Develop and implement robust security processes to support Policy and Standards requirements.
- Oversee operational security for the business area, ensuring alignment with local security strategy, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Review and enhance frameworks and functional processes to improve security solutions.
- Manage security risk assessments and mitigation strategies in accordance with BAE Systems Australia standards and policy.
- Support and manage security incident processes, ensuring timely reporting and coordinated investigations.
- Lead and develop a team of Security professionals.
- Ensure effective operational security compliance activities.
- Manage security tasks and services based on relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Australian Citizen eligible for Negative Vetting Level 2 clearance required.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience in security or Defence Industry roles with sound knowledge of Defence policy and procedures.
- Ability to understand and implement security policy and process.
- Working knowledge of Cyber Security Policy and Physical, Personnel, and Information Security.
- Must hold or be able to gain a Department of Defence Certificate in Security Officer Training.
- Sound knowledge in handling physical assets and document security.
