Job Summary

AFL Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Injury Paralegal/Assistant to join our client's team. As the right-hand person to a top divisional HEAD Senior Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and assisting with a diverse range of personal injury matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the Senior Lawyer, including typing, preparation of court documents and correspondence, and filing.
  • Liaising with clients, doctors, solicitors, and insurers to arrange appointments and prepare briefs.
  • Assisting with the preparation of court documents and correspondence, including drafting and editing.
  • Managing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and files.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and communication skills to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months of personal injury legal secretarial/paralegal experience, preferably with workers compensation, work injury damages, and/or CTP experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Word skills and an accurate typing speed of minimum 60+wpm.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • A career-focused paralegal/secretary or law student not looking to become a lawyer for at least 1 year or more.
