CITIC Pacific Mining Management is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Relations Manager to lead our IR strategy and manage employee relations at a critical time. Reporting to the Director Human Resources, this role will oversee industrial and employee relations management, develop and implement strategies, and mitigate risks to protect the business and the Sino Iron Project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage risks and develop approved IR/ER contingencies/plans to minimize business impact.
  • Stay up-to-date with industrial relations legislation changes and trends, guiding senior management and the business on these.
  • Manage union visits and communications with all unions across the business, including state and federal interfaces.
  • Lead industrial negotiations, collective/individual grievances, industrial action, union official breaches, and adverse/unfair dismissal claims.
  • Coordinate with legal employment practitioners on IR/ER matters.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources/Employee Relations.
  • Solid experience in industrial relations, ideally in the mining/resources industry.
  • Proven leadership and practical industrial relations experience from multi-union mining and construction sites.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to consult at all levels of the business.
  • A current WA Manual Drivers license is an essential requirement.
