As a part of the NT Remote Locum Program, we invite experienced dentists to provide dental treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote Northern Territory communities.

This unique opportunity involves short-term placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks in remote clinics. During this time, you will collaborate with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff to deliver culturally safe and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide dental treatment to patients according to professional standards and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local community members and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in cultural orientation and receive ongoing support to transition into remote healthcare.
Requirements:
  • Current NT Radiation License or application for NT Radiation License.
  • Minimum of 2 years full-time postgraduate clinical experience in a relevant clinical setting.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a dentist within the past 12 months.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
