Technical Lead for Linux Systems in Trading Infrastructure

The RoleAs a Technical Lead for Linux Systems in Trading Infrastructure, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising our systems, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of Linux and associated hardware and software. This role requires collaboration with our Infrastructure, Project Management, and Strategy Developer Teams to deliver and manage scalable and highly performant systems.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting and optimising our APAC Linux estate; the continuous improvement of our tools and pipelines to ensure that our systems scale as the company grows
- Gaining in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of hardware and software configuration applicable to the trading space; OS Optimisation, NICs & kernel tuning, Core isolation
- Working with/implementing/supporting tooling/systems such as Puppet, Ansible, Openstack, VMWare, Kafka, Kubernetes, and a suite of monitoring/logging/reporting tools (CheckMK, Nagios, Prometheus, ELK)
- Support and administer our storage and backup network infrastructure (Various SAN, NAS, DAS technologies such as NetAPP, Pure, GPFS & Vast)
- A Linux engineer who puts their team first and loves collaborating as much as they love deploying great systems and understanding how things work
- Solid experience administering and working with Linux systems and associated tooling - knowledge of Data Centres/Hardware/trading systems is an advantage
- Solid and demonstrable skills with programming/scripting in Bash, Python or any other languages
- Automation focused with a proven track record of designing/delivering end-to-end systems and solutions
- An estimated annual salary range of $140,000-$180,000, depending on your experience and qualifications
