Job Description

At our organisation, we deliver innovative solutions to complex business challenges. As a Business Strategist in the Valuation Modelling and Economics team, you will work closely with clients to provide expert advice on preserving, optimising, raising or investing capital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work within small project teams to undertake valuations of businesses and intangible assets.
  • Support clients regarding valuation matters in various contexts including for transactions, portfolio assessment & optimisation, restructuring and strategic planning.
  • Take ownership for delivery of projects within each team.
  • Manage and preparation of valuation reports, which may include assessment of strategic options for transformation initiatives and detailed financial modelling and analysis.

You will be working with various stakeholders, including client personnel and EY project teams, to deliver high-quality results and maintain positive, productive, and professional relationships.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree and approximately 3 to 7 years of related work experience is required. You should have a degree in finance, economics, accounting or business, with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Direct experience utilising various valuation techniques and methodologies (market comparables, discounted cash flow, etc) for different purposes is necessary. Experience in financial modelling in MS Excel and related software preferred. Experience conducting valuations for accounting and/or tax planning purposes is desired.
