Senior Program Coordinator

This role presents a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Aboriginal children and families involved in the child protection system.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster communication, provide support to schools, and enhance educational outcomes for Aboriginal children and young students.
  • Support project delivery, client care, maintain records, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain values by attending meetings, training, and ensuring effective community connection and cultural case management.
  • Collaborate with Aboriginal children, families, Government, and sector partners to reduce the overrepresentation of Aboriginal children in care.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of Residential Care placements, focusing on delivering high-quality services and support to clients.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be culturally sensitive, and demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for Aboriginal children and families.


Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Proven experience in child protection and family support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
