We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Advice and Triage Referral Service (MATRS) team.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical advice and support to eligible personnel via telephone services.
Your primary tasks will include conducting clinical assessments, performing triage, and providing medical advice using modern clinical decision support tools and standardised scripting endorsed by the Commonwealth.
Key to your success in this role will be your ability to work autonomously in a busy environment and contribute to the delivery of high-standard care as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Additionally, you will have opportunities to grow professionally and personally while making a meaningful impact supporting Australia's defence personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional phone handling and administration skills
- Put patients at ease with your excellent communication and interpersonal skills
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- At least 2 years full-time, post-graduate experience within the last 5 years in an acute care, primary health, or military setting
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification
- Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance
