About the Opportunity
Yancoal Mount Thorley Warkworth is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join their team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for the execution of planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and machine rebuilds.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment, including trucks, graders, dozers, and excavators.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all repairs meet the highest standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
Requirements
- Plant Mechanic Trade Qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in heavy industry maintenance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of OEM equipment and maintenance procedures.
