About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic to join our team at Yancoal Mount Thorley Warkworth. As a Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for the execution of planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and machine rebuilds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on a range of OEM fleet, including Komatsu, Cat, Hitachi, and NHL Trucks.
  • Work on Water Carts, Graders, Track Dozers, Scrapers, Service Trucks, Letourneau Loaders, Liebherr & Hitachi Excavators, P&H 4100XPC Shovels, Draglines, and Drills.
  • Contribute to productivity and continuous improvement initiatives in Truck, Field, and Mobile equipment maintenance areas.

Requirements

  • Plant Mechanic Trade Qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven Heavy Industry experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work safely in a team environment.
  • Proven skill in diagnostic problem-solving across the Truck and Mobile fleet.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Ability to problem-solve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
