About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to join our maintenance team at Rix's Creek Mine, offering a new and family-friendly lifestyle roster.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform safe and effective preventative maintenance and breakdown support on open cut mobile equipment, CHPP, and mining infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet safety, maintenance, and production goals through efficient practices.
  • Perform quality inspections of machinery and document as per legislative and operational requirements.
  • Utilize expertise to deliver a high standard of work, contributing to the smooth functioning of the mining operation.
Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
  • Mechanical trade qualification (Plant Mechanic / Fitter).
  • Proven experience working on open cut mining equipment and infrastructure (predominantly CAT, Hitachi, and Liebherr).
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with fellow team members.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience on the new generation of CAT drills will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in maintaining and operating in a CHPP environment.
