Learning Support Director

The Learning Support Director is responsible for overseeing a team of Educators and ensuring the inclusion of students with disability and additional learning needs.

This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Educator in Learning Support to lead by example and make a significant impact on student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Learning Support team and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusive education practices.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure students receive the support they need.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legislative requirements regarding student privacy and disability laws.

Requirements:

  • Relevant teaching qualification, as well as postgraduate qualifications in Special Educational Needs.
  • Current Teachers Registration.
  • Current Working with Children Check and valid Criminal Check.
  • A willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the college community.

Desirable Skills:

  • Leadership and organisational skills, coupled with previous experience in a leadership position.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, compassionate nature with a strong commitment to supporting students with disability and/or learning difficulties.
