Motor Mechanic Job Opportunity

Are you a skilled mechanic with a passion for working on a wide range of motor vehicles? Do you have experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting major faults, as well as overhauling engines?

We are seeking a Motor Mechanic to join our successful team. The ideal candidate will have a certificate III & IV in a related field, at least 3 years of motor mechanical experience in a commercial workshop setting, and experience working with Intercontinental, European and Asian car makes.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot major faults in motor vehicles
  • Overhaul engines and repair or replace worn and faulty parts
  • Check and repair suspensions and wheel alignments
  • Attend to phone calls and maintain tools, equipment and machinery in good condition

The Role:

  • Carry out testing, diagnosing and troubleshooting major faults and overhauling engines of motor vehicles and parts such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes of a wide range of motor vehicle types
  • Repairing or replacing worn and faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials
  • Removing and fitting differential, repairing and servicing of differential and driving shafts
  • Checking the overall electric power of various electric units such as headlight, parking light, sidelight, stop light, direction light, roof light etc
  • Diagnosing, repairing and replacing engine management, fuel injection components, tuning engines and making fine adjustments for smoother running
  • Coordinating with other mechanics where teamwork is needed
  • Servicing cooling system, flushing and changing radiator, hoses and water pump, brakes, transmission
Requirements:
  • Certificate III & IV in a related Motor Mechanic field
  • At least 3 years of motor mechanical experience in a commercial workshop setting
  • Must have at least 3 years' experience working with Intercontinental, European and Asian car makes
  • Good with hand and power tools
  • Capacity to solve issues/problem and find suitable resolutions
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to strive for goals
