Our school is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced flute teacher for a casual position in Term 4, 2025.

This role involves approximately two days of private flute tuition per week, with the possibility of teaching within our Ensemble Program.

The successful applicant will be responsible for inspiring student engagement in our woodwind program and supporting the recruitment of flute students.

They will also encourage student involvement in our co-curricular band and orchestral ensemble programs to develop a thriving woodwind culture at our school.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivating flute specialist who can demonstrate experience teaching musicians of all levels.

The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of relevant examination syllabi and be willing to incorporate technology and other elements of contemporary curriculum into their lessons.

They should utilise a range of strategies and skills to engage young musicians and support them in developing an intrinsic interest in flute study.

A collaborative approach to teaching is essential, and the ability to work with families using appropriate communication methods is also required.

Experience in directing or tutoring ensembles would be advantageous, as well as familiarity with the Kodály framework.

  • Be a dynamic, innovative, and motivating Flute specialist, with demonstrated experience teaching beginner to advanced level musicians

Skills and Qualifications
