**Laboratory Assistant Role:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Receive and process specimens in accordance with established protocols;
  • Handle pre and post-analytical specimens with attention to detail;
  • Identify and prioritize urgent specimens for timely processing;
  • Accurately file and store specimens, maintaining up-to-date records;
  • Assist Scientists in the laboratory as required, providing support and expertise;
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of specimen processing requirements for diverse sample types and tests;

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

  • Previous experience in specimen processing and data entry;
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and clients;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working efficiently under minimal supervision;
  • Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, contributing to shared goals and objectives;
  • Understanding of the importance of adhering to established procedures and protocols;
  • Commitment to following organizational policies and guidelines;

**Working Conditions and Expectations:**

This is a full-time position requiring 38 hours of work per week, Monday through Sunday and Public Holidays. The selected candidate must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or hold a valid visa permitting work.
