Public Relations Officer Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage the Army's brand and reputation through effective communication, media relations, and social media engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of communications specialists to develop strategic plans, build relationships with key stakeholders, and manage crisis situations.
  • Collaborate with senior command staff to create effective communication strategies, foster partnerships, and resolve issues.
  • This role may require assignment to Defence Force HQ in Canberra or deployment with units, requiring adaptability and flexibility.
Requirements:
  • Must be an Australian citizen with a degree in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Journalism, and at least three years' experience in a related field.
  • Pass the ADF physical fitness test and undergo background checks to ensure suitability for the role.
