Are you a skilled Psychiatrist looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead - Adult Mental Health Specialist to join our team at the Townsville University Hospital.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Psychiatrist to provide high-quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit the patients of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS). This includes research, teaching, and providing specialist mental health services to rural consumers. The successful candidate will be part of the Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme, with an additional $20,000 bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist mental health services to adult patients in Northern Queensland.
  • Contribute to research and teaching programs to enhance the skills of health professionals.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications in Psychiatry recognized by the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
  • Ongoing professional development relevant to the delivery of specialist mental health services.
