A Day in the Life of a Ship Agent:
  • Coordinate vessel operations, from planning arrivals to berthing, loading, and departures in collaboration with all port stakeholders.
  • Work independently and as part of a cohesive team to ensure smooth port calls and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about business opportunities, port activities, and regulatory updates to stay effective in your duties.
  • Be prepared for out-of-hours and weekend work to ensure task completion.
Who You Are:
  • You are a self-motivated, results-driven individual with a passion for achieving excellence.
  • Prior experience or exposure to the shipping industry is advantageous, but not necessary.
  • Attention to detail, administrative proficiency, and computer skills are essential.
  • You thrive under pressure, meet deadlines effectively, and approach challenges as opportunities for growth.
  • Safety, compliance, and wellness are paramount to you and your team's success.
  • You must possess a valid Australian work permit, driver's license, and driving experience, along with eligibility for a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
