Job Title: Classification and Placement Officer
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the justice system by coordinating classification and placement processes that have a direct impact on inmate management and rehabilitation.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective placement of inmates across New South Wales. As part of the Classification Placement Team, you will coordinate and facilitate the operations of the Classification and Placement process, ensuring quality outcomes in a custodial environment.
You'll provide expert advice on inmate classification and placement procedures, conduct detailed analyses of inmate information, and generate essential reports to support informed decision-making.
You'll work as part of a collaborative team of professionals dedicated to maintaining a secure and just correctional system. The environment is dynamic, with a focus on achieving the best outcomes for both inmates and the broader community.
We are looking for a Classification and Placement Officer who has strong analytical skills with the ability to review and process complex inmate information, can manage competing priorities and adapt to unplanned events in a fast-paced environment, and has a current and valid driving licence with a willingness to travel within NSW.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate the operations of the Classification and Placement process
- Provide expert advice on inmate classification and placement procedures
- Conduct detailed analyses of inmate information and generate essential reports
- Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to achieve quality outcomes in a custodial environment
