Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Full Time cleaning position at Australia Post: Dandenong. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for those with commercial or retail cleaning experience to make a difference in their community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.
  • Operate cleaning machinery such as scrubbing, buffing, and car park sweepers.
  • Perform tasks related to chemical handling and proper cleaning techniques.
  • Work well independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior commercial or retail cleaning experience (on-the-job training will be provided).
  • An understanding of chemical handling procedures and proper cleaning techniques (or willingness to learn).
  • Cleaning Machinery experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge of and a commitment to safe working practices.
  • Physical fitness to carry out standard duties and ability to walk for lengthy periods.
  • Good listening skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and public holidays.
  • Valid work rights in Australia.
