About The Role

We are pleased to offer positions for a Maintenance Fitter at our Dandenong South location.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various manufacturing duties, including:

  • Operating and maintaining aluminium extrusion machines and ancillary equipment
  • Responding to general breakdowns and conducting routine preventive maintenance work
  • Diagnosing faults, identifying solutions, and implementing appropriate actions
  • Interpreting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical drawings
  • Disassembling and reassembling machinery as required
  • Performing welding, machining (mill & lathe), and fabrication tasks

About the Work Schedule

The position offers a 38-hour Monday-to-Friday schedule with opportunities for overtime when available.

We operate afternoon and night shifts, with afternoon shift hours from 3:00pm to 11:00pm and night shift hours from 11:00pm to 7:00am, both with additional shift loading.

About You - Skills & Experience

  • You should have a strong safety focus and a minimum of two years' recent experience as a maintenance fitter in a manufacturing environment
  • Hold relevant trade qualifications and possess good communication skills
  • Have knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, intermediate computer skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and some weekend availability are essential

Highly Desirable Qualifications

  • A valid forklift license is required; knowledge of PLC systems is an advantage
