Support Worker Role

Are you a caring and compassionate individual seeking a fulfilling career within a supportive team?

This role involves providing personal care, domestic assistance, social support, and transportation to customers in their homes.

As a Support Worker, you will work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality services to customers.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Personal care: assisting with showering, dressing, grooming, and medication administration
  • Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Social support/transportation: accompanying customers to social activities, shopping/groceries, medical appointments, and other outings
  • Supporting customers with complex needs, including the use of aids and equipment
  • Monitoring customer well-being and reporting progress
  • Participating in staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support, or Disability Services (preferably)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Current and satisfactory criminal record check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check/Yellow Card
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Australian Driver's Licence
  • Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Smartphone with internet access
