Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our care staff, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with their daily living activities.

About the Role

  • Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and other hygiene tasks.
  • Assist clients with mobility, including transfers, walking, and positioning.
  • Promptly administer prescribed medication and monitor health conditions as directed.
  • Offer emotional support, engage in meaningful conversation, and participate in activities that enhance the client's quality of life.
  • Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry duties.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care role or similar environment is essential.
  • Holding a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
  • A current First Aid Certificate is required.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and transferring clients.
