The Role of a Support Worker
The main aim of this role is to provide individualised support and care to people with disabilities in their homes and within the community.
- Delivering personal care supports in homes and communities;
- Assisting individuals to participate in community-based activities;
- Supporting person-centred plans that identify life goals and aspirations;
- Maintaining positive behaviour support plans for each customer; and
- Carrying out administrative tasks, expense reporting and mandatory documentation.
Key Skills Required
For success in this role, you will need excellent interpersonal skills, a genuine passion for providing service and assistance, and previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration.
Additional requirements include a valid driver's license and the ability to use your private vehicle for work purposes (aligned with our motor vehicle allowance rebate).
