Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Financial Accountant to join our team in Dandenong South. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting acquisition and integration activities within the business.

The role involves partnering with newly acquired and integrated entities, managing Profit and Loss statements, and overseeing Balance Sheet reconciliations. You will also be responsible for Month End reporting, including FBT and BAS/GST returns across acquired and integrated entities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain insight into broader business operations during transition periods, while working in a fast-paced environment with a recently formed and open team.


About the Role
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Support acquisition and integration activities within the business
  • Partner with newly acquired and integrated entities
  • Manage Profit and Loss statements
  • Oversee Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Month End reporting, including FBT and BAS/GST returns

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

Qualifications: A degree in Business, Commerce or Accounting, along with CA/CPA certification or working towards it.

Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Accounting.

Skills: Sound and comprehensive basic accounting skills, general exposure to computerized accounting systems in large commercial organizations, attention to detail, and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel and Word.

Affinity: The ability to learn new skills and knowledge, adapt quickly, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
