ICT Educator

We are seeking a passionate and experienced ICT educator to join our dedicated Secondary school setting in Williamstown. As a full-time ongoing role beginning in Term 4, you will have the opportunity to teach within a small ICT faculty, instructing students in years 7-12. Our school is part of a community-oriented school in Williamstown/Altona, offering a Term 4 contract with the possibility of extending it into 2025.

• Design and deliver lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) standards, ensuring students achieve learning outcomes.
• Teach subjects related to Information Technology (IT), including programming, web development, databases, networking, cybersecurity, and digital technologies.
• Identify and support students with varying learning needs, including those with learning difficulties or advanced abilities.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in technology and education by attending professional development sessions, workshops, and conferences.
• Manage and maintain the IT resources within the classroom, ensuring they are functional and up-to-date.
• Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics teams, or participation in IT-related competitions.

• Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• Current VIT registration.
• Demonstrate previous experience in teaching ICT in a Secondary School setting.
• Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years.

• Teaching ICT to students in years 7-12.
• Work across campuses in Altona, Newport, and Williamstown.

• Receiving a salary commensurate with your demonstrated expertise, within the range of $75,000 to $115,000 (FT).
