About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced ICT educator to join our dedicated Secondary school setting in Williamstown. As a full-time ongoing role beginning in Term 4, you will have the opportunity to teach within a small ICT faculty, instructing students in years 7-12. Our school is a community-oriented institution with a strong focus on education and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE standards, ensuring students achieve learning outcomes.
  • Teach subjects related to Information Technology, including programming, web development, databases, networking, cybersecurity, and digital technologies.
  • Identify and support students with varying learning needs, providing additional resources or adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in technology and education by attending professional development sessions, workshops, and conferences.
  • Manage and maintain IT resources within the classroom, ensuring they are functional and up-to-date.
  • Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics teams, or participation in IT-related competitions.
Requirements
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching ICT in a Secondary School setting
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years
