About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ICT teacher to join our team at a reputable secondary school in the Williamstown/Altona area. As a full-time ICT educator, you will be responsible for teaching students in years 7-12 and contributing to the development of our ICT faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE standards, ensuring students achieve learning outcomes.
  • Teach a range of ICT subjects, including programming, web development, databases, networking, cybersecurity, and digital technologies.
  • Identify and support students with varying learning needs, providing additional resources or adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in technology and education by attending professional development sessions, workshops, and conferences.
  • Manage and maintain IT resources within the classroom, ensuring they are functional and up-to-date.
  • Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs, robotics teams, or participation in IT-related competitions.

Requirements:

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration
  • Previous experience in teaching ICT in a secondary school setting
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary commensurate with your demonstrated expertise, within the range of $75,000 to $115,000 (FT)
