Teacher - Health and Physical Education Specialist

Job Role
The Department of Education, Western Australia seeks a skilled and experienced Health and Physical Education (HPE) teacher to join our team. As an HPE teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs to students in Years 7 to 12.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver innovative and challenging HPE programs that cater to diverse student needs and abilities
- Utilise data to identify suitable Senior Secondary academic pathways in the HPE Learning Area
- Lead extra-curricular activities, including coaching representative teams in Netball, Swimming, and Soccer
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes equity, excellence, and relevance in education
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
- A proven ability to create, develop, and deliver innovative teaching and learning programs
- Strong teaching and classroom management skills, with the ability to challenge and engage all students
- A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds
