About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Health and Physical Education teacher to join our dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver innovative, relevant, and challenging courses and programs across a range of ability levels from Year 7 to Year 12.
  • Lead and drive HPE specialist courses, initiatives, and contribute to the wide range of extra-curricular activities offered by the school.
  • Work effectively with a diverse range of students, differentiate programs to accommodate high and low achieving students from various ethnic backgrounds.
  • Utilize data to identify suitable Senior Secondary academic pathways in the HPE Learning Area.

The successful applicant will possess highly effective interpersonal skills, be student and relationship focused, innovative and motivated, with a proven ability to create and develop engaging learning experiences.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:



  • Hold an eligible teaching qualification.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting.
  • Consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
