Educational Specialist for Health and Physical Education

Join the Department of Education, Western Australia as an Educational Specialist for Health and Physical Education.
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team at Byford Secondary College. As an Educational Specialist in the Health and Physical Education (HPE) Learning Area, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing the department's Quality Teaching Strategy and the College Instructional Framework.
The successful applicant will have a passion for teaching secondary students and a sound understanding of the West Australian HPE curriculum. Experience in high-impact instruction and mentoring graduate teachers is highly valued. A strong interest in building collective efficacy among the teaching team to engage students in HPE is essential.
You will be an active contributor to the HPE Learning Area and reflective in your practice to support professional growth and improvement of educational outcomes for all students. Differentiating curriculum and implementing innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high and low achieving students is a key element in this role.
The salary for this position is approximately $113,845 - $130,299 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025, with competitive salaries, flexible working arrangements, training and career development opportunities, and attractive leave provisions.
Byford Secondary College is an Independent Public School located approximately 30 kilometres from the Perth CBD. The College has a cohort of over 1500 Year 7 to Year 12 students and provides a comprehensive suite of subjects from Year 7 to Year 12.
