About us

Niola Centre is an aged care home in the country town of Parkes. Our home is built around a quiet, relaxing courtyard with rooms filled with natural light.

Parkes is located 25 minutes North of Forbes and 1.5 hours South of Dubbo

Our Carer role

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Carers on a casual or permanent part-time basis. As a Carer you'll get to know your residents and their needs and preferences during your shifts. Availability for night shifts is highly desirable.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans
  • Assisting with medication administration
  • Simple wound dressing under supervision
  • Supporting residents with activities
  • Working with each resident to continue doing the things they love

Required skills and qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Carer (desirable)
  • Transferable skills in providing care and compassion to others
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (desirable)
  • Willingness to complete Certificate
  • We encourage Nursing students to apply
  • A willingness to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check or provide current NDIS Worker screening clearance
