Job Title: Park Maintenance Team Member

This is a full-time position within our Parks and Open Space department, focusing on delivering high-quality horticultural and greenkeeping services to maintain and enhance the appearance of our city.


About The Role

We are seeking an individual with excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. As a park maintenance team member, you will be responsible for undertaking various tasks required to ensure the long-term management, condition, and usability of assets and facilities under the care of our team.


  • Deliver horticultural and greenkeeping services to maintain and enhance the appearance of our parks and open spaces.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed, to assist other parks teams and operational areas, particularly in wet weather or other emergencies to meet community needs.
  • Ensure correct completion of all necessary administrative functions (electronic & paper-based).

Key Responsibilities:
Horticultural Services
  • Undertake routine maintenance tasks, including lawn mowing, pruning, and planting.
  • Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.

Teamwork and Communication
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including council members, community groups, and visitors.

What We Offer

This is a permanent full-time position from Monday to Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm. Remuneration includes $63,507 to $69,957, plus superannuation. City of Parramatta also offers excellent employee benefits.
