At St George Christian School, we are seeking a passionate and innovative educator to join our team as a Diverse Education Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be registered with the South Australian Teachers Registration Board;
  • Have a commitment to the ethos of an independent Christian school;
  • Have experience working in Diverse/Special Education in schools;
  • Have a broad knowledge of a variety of learning difficulties & disabilities;
  • Work collaboratively with primary and secondary classroom teachers and Diverse Education SSOs to support assessment for learning of their students with additional educational needs and identify specific learning and support needs;
  • Plan, implement, model, monitor and evaluate support programs for primary and secondary students;
  • Assist the Diverse Education Leaders in providing professional advice, support and mentoring to classroom teachers;
  • Provide advice on appropriate specialist services to parents and teachers;
  • Collaboratively write and review Individual Education Plans (IEP) for eligible students;
