About the Role:
The role of Senior Academic Leader in Information Technology and Systems is crucial in providing disciplinary leadership and overseeing the delivery of ITS courses across all modes—online and face-to-face. The appointee will lead the academic development, delivery, and quality assurance of VIT's ITS courses, ensuring high-quality, industry-aligned, and student-centred curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing academic leadership in the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of ITS courses.
- Leading the development of new undergraduate and postgraduate courses in alignment with strategic priorities and market demand.
- Overseeing academic operations, including study plans, timetables, staffing, and academic integrity across all delivery modes and locations.
- Mentoring academic staff, fostering contemporary teaching practices, and embedding scholarly and pedagogical development into curriculum delivery.
- Engaging with industry, alumni, and professional networks to enhance WIL opportunities, graduate outcomes, and the relevance of course offerings.
