Role Overview
The Trainer Assessor will report directly to the Senior Training Advisor and will be a vital member of the Sustainability team, focusing on enhancing training and assessment processes for underground operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage daily with underground personnel to conduct training sessions and competency evaluations.
- Contribute to the accuracy of training records, matrices, and needs assessments.
- Provide reports on activities and ensure records are finalized within designated timelines.
- Collaborate with the Senior Training Advisor regarding external training requirements.
- Assist in managing training budgets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will either be a FIFO worker or a resident of the local area, with availability for an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster.
To excel in this position, prior experience as a Trainer Assessor in underground mining operations is essential. The candidate should be adept at working independently, effectively planning and scheduling training programs and assessments.
Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship building are crucial, with a dedicated focus on fostering a 'Safety First' culture.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Formal qualifications or extensive experience in underground operations.
- Cert IV Assessor (mandatory) or Cert IV TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
- Open Class Western Australian Driver's License.
- Permits for Work, Working at Heights, and Confined Spaces.
