About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Educational Leader to join our team at YMCA Sandgate Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service. As the Educational Leader, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the education program, promoting children's well-being, development, and learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the education program, ensuring it aligns with the YMCA of Brisbane Long Day Care services' philosophy, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead a team of educators, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and education.
  • Liaise with parents, staff, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Mentor and support educators in their professional development, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality education.
  • Ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Undertake administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education.
  • Sound experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting, with a comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with families and the school community.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification, and a willingness to obtain a Blue Card.
