Transport Logistics Coordinator

Job Description:

The Transport Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient delivery of goods and services. This individual is responsible for coordinating daily delivery allocations, building runs for the delivery team to complete in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Promptly reporting incidents/injuries, near misses, and hazards to the Transport Manager.
  • Following safety and handling inductions and training protocols.
  • Complying with WH&S policies and procedures.
  • Prioritizing driver safety.
  • Upholding the principles of the Chain of Responsibility.

This role also involves:

  • Fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the office environment.
  • Upgrading high standards.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and reporting NPS metrics.
  • Generating relevant reports as required.
  • Optimizing transport operations efficiency.
  • Identifying and implementing strategies to reduce operating costs.
  • Managing day-to-day overtime costs.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

  • More than 2 years of experience in the transport and logistics industry.
  • Previous experience in allocation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in managing compliance with Chain of Responsibility regulations.
  • Strong emphasis on safety with extensive knowledge and experience in safe manual handling.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Driven by achieving results and targets with a proactive attitude.
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy including proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and large ERP/WMS/TMS systems.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Transport, Logistics, or Supply Chain are preferred but not essential.
