Science Teacher Role

Job Description:

The role of the Science Teacher is to deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs in the science curriculum. The successful applicant will exhibit innovation and creativity in classroom practices, cater for student diversity, and demonstrate self-reflective practices with a focus on quality teaching.

The teacher will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, leading ongoing improvements in pedagogy, curriculum, and programming across Years 11 and 12. They will support the Science learning area to achieve targets in the School Business Plan.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly committed, adaptable, and collaborative individual who can work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the achievement of our school vision alongside our Science Teachers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department's Screening Unit before starting.
