Senior HR Advisor

About the Role:
  • Deliver proactive human resources generalist advice and guidance to business leaders.
  • Guide, coach, and mentor an HR team and business managers to drive excellence.
  • Support the implementation of standardised processes for employee development, talent management, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Provide timely support during employment-related disputes and industrial relations matters.
  • Facilitate performance and reward management, employment law, and organisational change initiatives.
  • Manage workers' compensation and injury cases in collaboration with health, safety, and quality teams.
  • Act as a point of escalation for payroll queries, union issues, and dispute resolution.
  • Support disciplinary investigations and matters before Fair Work Commission.
  • Develop key people metrics dashboards with HR analytics tools.
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure relevance and compliance.
About You:

This role requires an individual with excellent interpersonal skills, clear communication, and high organisational capabilities. Flexibility is essential due to changing demands. Ideally, you will possess:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a senior influencing role, preferably with a background in human resources or a related field.
  • Practical experience supporting salaried and award/EA-based workforces.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (Business, Commerce, Law, Psychology).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A strong understanding of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Strong time management and ability to handle conflicting priorities.
  • A commitment to autonomy, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Experience with Fair Work Commission representation (desired).
  • Experience in implementing human resource information systems (HRIS) (desired).
