Part-Time Administrative Support Role

This is an exciting and challenging position for someone who is passionate about education. The administrative assistant plays a critical role in supporting the student learning and support team by working closely with the head of student learning and support to manage day-to-day operations and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administration and documentation support in collaborating and liaising with the student learning and support team, teachers, students, and parents to create an inclusive environment that enhances learning support services.
  • Documentation and Record Management: Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including progress reports, assessment results, and correspondence, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Communication and Liaison: Act as a reliable point of contact for the department, addressing inquiries from staff, parents, and external agencies, under the guidance of the head of student learning and support.
  • Collaboration and Program Support: Assist in organizing and coordinating support programs, workshops, and events for students with additional learning needs, while also managing inventory of educational materials and resources, ensuring availability for support programs.
Requirements
  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ, actively attending their local church, and willingly supporting the vision and practice of the college.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in education, preferably certificate IV in business administration or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational and administrative skills, record management and confidentiality, communication and stakeholder engagement, program coordination and support, and resource and compliance management.
Selection Criteria
  • A deep commitment to child safety in an education setting.
  • A current working with children check.
  • Knowledge of school policies, procedures, and relevant legislation related to student support.
