Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to fill a Sales Assistant role at our store.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position that involves working 76 hours over a fortnight, including every second weekend. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert customer service and support
  • Promoting our trade loyalty program and trade accounts
  • Developing product knowledge to assist customers with their lighting needs
  • Achieving personal sales targets through effective communication and relationship-building skills
  • Supporting other team members and contributing to a positive work environment
  • Maintaining the overall presentation of the store through merchandising and general housekeeping
  • Participating in local community and charitable initiatives

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualities:

  • Previous experience in a retail environment with a strong focus on customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • An energetic and enthusiastic approach, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Competency in POS systems and Microsoft Office, with the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
