Indigenous Student Engagement Specialist

CQUniversity is seeking a motivated individual to join the Indigenous Student Engagement team and complete a variety of student support activities for the Rural and Remote Pilot (RRP) Project.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver student support activities for the RRP Project, including face-to-face delivery of health-related Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses to students in rural and remote communities.
- Work collaboratively with the Project team to advise students, triage enquiries, and coordinate tutorial assistance to support course retention and completion.
- Regularly travel to RRP locations to provide support to students and communities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and societies, and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work, meet deadlines and resolve administrative or client-related problems with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated initiative, excellent time management, problem-solving, and well-developed written communication skills for preparing quality and accurate documentation.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with experience engaging a broad range of stakeholders, including work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
